  • Olive Oil – Helps to create a smoother texture when blending.

For Topping:

  • Honey (or hot honey) – Sweetens the dip with a sticky, delicious drizzle.

Notes

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. feta cheese (see notes)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (120g) – 0%, 2%, or full fat all work
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp olive oil (5g)

For Topping:

  • 2 Tbsp honey (or hot honey)
  • 1 tsp fresh chopped chives
  • Fresh cracked black pepper
  • Pine nuts, crushed pistachios, or red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a food processor or high-powered blender, blend the following ingredients until smooth and creamy:
    • Feta cheese
    • Yogurt
    • Garlic
    • Olive oil
  2. Transfer the whipped cheese mixture to a shallow bowl. Use a large spoon to create a well in the center.
  3. Fill the well with honey. Garnish the sides with:
    • Chives
    • Pine nuts
    • Black pepper
    • Additional toppings of your choice

Notes:

  • Feta: For the best results, use high-quality block feta. Crumbled feta works as well. Full-fat feta will provide a richer taste, but you can also use reduced-fat or fat-free varieties.
  • Dairy-Free Option: Swap the regular feta and yogurt for dairy-free versions for a dairy-free alternative.

  1. Can I use crumbled feta instead of block feta?

If you’re in a rush, crumbled feta will work just fine. But if you want an ultra-smooth texture, block feta is the way to go. The choice is yours!

  1. Is it necessary to use full-fat ingredients for this recipe?

Not at all! You can swap in reduced-fat or fat-free versions of feta and yogurt. Full-fat versions will give you a richer taste, but it’s totally up to you!

  1. How can I spice up this dip?

For an extra kick, drizzle hot honey on top, or sprinkle in some red pepper flakes. Add as much heat as you like!

  1. Can I make this dip in advance?

Absolutely! You can prepare it ahead of time. Just store it in the fridge and let it come to room temperature before serving. You’ll still enjoy that creamy goodness!

  1. What should I serve this with?

This dip is perfect with pita, fresh veggies like cucumbers or carrots, or even toasted baguette slices. Whatever suits your party spread best!
